Looking for a space to gather in community and be held in your experience? To share your unique perspective and expand your ability to connect to your internal sense of power?
Join us on Saturday, March 15 from 2-4pm for Yoga as a tool for Community and Liberation: An Asana & Meditation Workshop for members of the LGBTQ+ community with yoga and meditation teacher, Conner Meenan.
This workshop will begin with asana (physical yoga), pranayama (breathwork) and meditation followed by journaling, lecture, and discussion. This experience is a great opportunity to build community, hold one another in our vulnerability, and share our unique perspectives.
About Your Teacher
Conner Meenan is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance yoga and meditation teacher and science educator with the mission to bring equitable education of mind, body, and spirit to students across identity and experience. Their yoga studentship has brought healing, empowerment, and connection to their life and they find great joy and challenge in exploring the intersections of spirituality and science.
Their trauma-informed classes incorporate Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa-influenced asana with an emphasis on anatomy, pranayama, and yogic philosophy. In their classes you can expect a balance of steadiness and ease with a style that encourages both playfulness and discipline.
Conner resides in Harlem, NY, teaches yoga trainings with Three Sisters Yoga in Manhattan, and is CorePower Yoga’s NYC Lead Instructor. When not teaching, they can be found reading philosophy, watching anime, playing video games, or having fun in the kitchen!
